The thought of home in Phuentsholing, Bhutan, came to mind when I was creating this piece. My late dad had a great passion for gardening and he would try growing all types of plants, flowers and fruits in our garden. He even tried growing pomegranate trees in the tropics! The plant grew big and strong and had lots of flowers but the fruits were not that great. So after a couple of years it was removed and replaced with other plants. I am not sure what grows on that spot now. I am thinking back 40 years ago!
Artist statement: Being creative is part of her life! Milly Tseng started recording her path in painting from 2010. Now that she has retired early from a full time Corporate position, she will spend more time in exploring and developing her passion. Her plan is to focus on her ability to create and feel comfortable using multiple mediums and style. She paints predominantly with acrylic on canvas as her chosen medium however, she also enjoys drawing, painting with oils and water colours, likely more mediums will be added to this existing list! Her subject matter ranges from floral, nature, still life to abstract. A keen gardener with a deep love for nature and the outdoors, she is inspired by the blooms in her garden and the places...
