Bridge over Silver Creek was painted en plein air. I had to return another day to complete this painting because an unexpected downpour had me packing up after getting drenched the first day!
This was painted mid summer morning in 2022 and the growth along the creek was at its peak. The place was teaming with dragonflies and butterflies, I felt in good company. The gentle breeze in this green oasis was a perfect spot to paint on a warm day. Growing along the creek were tall grass with its white plumes, willow trees and maple trees. Many dogs came to this spot, which is located under the bridge, to take a drink and wade in the water.

Artist statement: Being creative is part of her life! Milly Tseng started recording her path in painting from 2010. Now that she has retired early from a full time Corporate position, she will spend more time in exploring and developing her passion. Her plan is to focus on her ability to create and feel comfortable using multiple mediums and style. She paints predominantly with acrylic on canvas as her chosen medium however, she also enjoys drawing, painting with oils and water colours, likely more mediums will be added to this existing list!
